Cheapzix Browser Extension
Free · No signup · Privacy-first
The Cheapzix browser extension brings price comparison to the page you're already shopping on. When you're viewing a product at a supported retailer, click the Cheapzix toolbar icon to see the cheapest price Cheapzix finds for that product — then open the deal or compare every store in one tap.
The extension isn't on the Chrome Web Store yet. We're preparing the listing. In the meantime you can use Cheapzix on the web for the same price comparison, or install the extension manually for early access (steps below).
What it does
- 1You open a product page on a supported retailer.
- 2You click the Cheapzix icon. The extension reads the product title from the page — nothing else.
- 3Cheapzix looks up the product and shows the cheapest matching price it finds, with the store and condition.
- 4You click through to open the deal, or open the full side-by-side comparison on cheapzix.com.
Works on these pages
The icon activates on product pages at these retailers. The comparison itself draws on the wider set of stores Cheapzix searches, so coverage varies by product.
Privacy & trust
The extension is built to do the least it can to work:
- It reads only the product title on the supported retailer page you're viewing — when you open the popup. It doesn't modify pages or read anything else.
- No accounts, no cookies, no storage. It saves nothing on your device and doesn't ask for an email.
- No cross-site tracking. It only talks to cheapzix.com to look up a price; it doesn't follow you around the web.
- API keys stay on our server. The lookup runs through Cheapzix, so no third-party keys are exposed in your browser.
Honest about pricing
Cheapzix shows the price a retailer was listing when the lookup ran, sorted to surface the cheapest match it finds. It does not guarantee the lowest price anywhere, and prices can change between the lookup and your click — always confirm the final price, shipping and tax on the retailer's checkout page. Some outbound links carry an affiliate tag (for example Amazon's cheapzix-20); that never changes the price you pay or the order results are shown in. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Early access (manual install)
